Taylor’s athletic background has included soccer, basketball, and softball. She earned multiple awards at the high school level, including being nominated to the PVC All-Star team for soccer, and the PVC All-Star team and McDonald’s All-Star team for basketball. She went on to continue her basketball career at Husson University for two years as a Shooting guard and Forward, and her team made it to the NAC playoffs both years but fell short of championships.

Out of the sports that Taylor has played, she says that her favorite sport is basketball “because there is so much variation with the sport, leaving room for both individual and team creativity.”

Taylor does not currently play any of the sports she used to play, and says she misses being around her team mates the most but also miss learning new skills and how to play the sport differently. She is also very interested in getting into coaching so she can help younger players learn new skills, too.

Her advice to athletes is to “find ways to stick around the sports you once played even though it may be tough. It is a great way to stay active while also doing something you’ve always enjoyed!”
